When Dwayne Wade made the switch from Converse to Brand Jordan, many felt he was the most exciting player under the Team Jordan roster and knew a new signature sneaker was to follow. Though it might’ve taken longer then expected, we at The Hoop Doctors take a look at D. Wade’s first signature Jordan shoe; the Jordan Fly Wade. He has this to say about his new silhouette:

I want it to be something that transcends away from the basketball court that kids and other people can wear with jeans. I think this shoe not only has all the things I need to play basketball, but it has the initial look that can make it a very great product on and off the court

Boasting a 13 oz frame; the Fly Wade is said to be the lightest Jordan shoe ever constructed. Featuring a synthetic patent leather-like toe, Zoom Air technology sits in the front while Max Air is used in the heel. Wade’s new logo sits atop the tongue made from mesh. From the 4 colorways that have officially been unveiled and judging by the early samples the Fly Wade will have a translucent bottom that will match up with the shoe’s colorway.

The Jordan Fly Wade will be released May 5, 2011 in retailers and will hit NikeiD for customization on May 29th.
