Dirk Nowitzki is Sporting Long Hair for 2010

Nobody ever claims that basketball players aren’t superstitious. These guys will do whatever it takes physically, mentally, or even somewhat ’spiritually’ to get an edge on the basketball court. After a few bad years of bad luck trying out various haircuts such as the shaved head, the mullet, and the shaggy look, Dirk Nowitzki, star of the Dallas Mavericks is giving a new hair style a try. I like to call it the Fabio, or the Michael Bolton, but fans of Dirk may just call it simply ‘European’. Check out his new long locks and tell us what you think about his new look for 2010:

I don’t think the dirkster is all that superstitious, he just doesn’t like messing with his hair. The last time it was buzzed it was done by Eddie Najera in between warm-ups and introductions in Memphis a couple of years ago.

He said one time, on camera, that he would only let Eddie Najera trim his hair. In fact, Eddie gave him the buzz he had last year when the Mavs played the Nets!
