Kevin Durant Raps, And He’s Not Too Shabby

Over the summer, once the Olympics are over with, players sometimes have next to nothing to do for a couple of weeks. So, a hobby is in order. How about music?

Music has also found its way into sports culture, and vice versa. Whether it was Jason Terry’s preference for Phil Collins or Drake’s “appreciation” for the Miami Heat, we’ve always seen music and the NBA get along. Sure, sometimes guys had a bit too much to say and it didn’t go all that well. Other times, there weren’t any words at all, and it was sublime  But, at the very least, NBA players have provided us with some sort of entertainment.

Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant has found his connection with music. In fact, last season’s scoring champ has openly spoken about his love for hip hop. The last thing any of us wanted was another Shaq on the mic.

Durant’s game on the court is the subject of wonder and amazement. We watch him play the way we’d watch a snowman in the summer, “how the hell does he stay so cold??”

Granted, he’s an artist on the court. How does Durant sound on a rap song? As it turns out, not half bad.

H/T to the folks over at Daily Thunder.
