Which Record Could the Golden State Warriors Beat this Season?

The Golden State Warriors are in the midst of an NBA dynasty. Golden State has appeared in the last four NBA Finals, winning three, and two of which have come in back-to-back seasons. Coach Steve Kerr and general manager Bob Myers have put together a star-studded team that continues to tear through the NBA’s Western Conference. Despite finishing behind rivals, the Houston Rockets last season in the West, Golden State still overcame its regular season failures to capture the NBA crown.

This season, the Warriors boast five players who were name to the NBA All-Star team in 2017-18. It is only the sixth time that one NBA team can claim to have five players from the previous season’s All-Star Game.

Golden State is already off to a hot start and records could fall once more this season. Will Golden State win a third straight title? Only time will tell as the Warriors shatter more NBA records along the way.

Most NBA wins

The 2015-16 Golden State Warriors set the NBA’s all-time wins record. Stephen Curry and company won 73 games while losing a mere nine. The record shattered the Chicago Bulls’ 1995-96 mark of 72-10. It was the first time an NBA team had lost single-digit games. Use the JackpotJoy promo code and enjoy winning all season long. The Warriors have started well once more. Although breaking their own record will be difficult, the Warriors have the players to do it. However, Golden State proved last season it doesn’t have to be the NBA’s best team for 82 games. It merely needs to get into the playoffs and dominate opposing teams, which Golden State did.

50/40/90

Not only is Golden State’s offence consistent, but it continues to be one of the NBA’s best. It isn’t just the best year in, year out; but it is landing on all-time NBA lists. In 2017-18, the Warriors nearly joined the 50/40/90 club as an entire team. The 50/40/90 club consists of 50 percent shooting from the field, 40 percent shooting on 3-pointers, and 90 percent from the free throw line. Thanks to NBA stars Curry and Kevin Durant, Golden State achieve a mark of 50.3 percent shooting from the field, 39.1 percent from behind the arc, and 81.5 percent on free throws. This season, the Warriors could join the elite 50/40/90 club.

After 14 games this season, Golden State has already posted a 51.5 field goal percentage, shot 41.7 percent from three-point land, and 80.9 percent from the free throw line. Although the last stat is off currently, the Warriors have enough time to improve the number.

Highest average points per game

The 1981-82 Denver Nuggets were a free scoring team. The team’s games were exciting as the Nuggets scored and allowed over 100 points in each game. Denver’s scoring gives the team the highest average points per game record of 126.5 points. The Warriors are not too far off that figure this season, 121.5 points per game. Behind the shooting of Curry, Durant, and DeMarcus Cousins, Golden State could break the 30-plus year-old record. If Golden State can break the record, it will be while holding teams on defense, unlike the Nuggets when they set the mark.
