Greek Freak’s Brother Declares for NBA Draft

Kostas Antetokounmpo

There could be another Antetokounmpo in the NBA very soon.

The younger brother of Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kostas Antetokounmpo, has declared for the NBA Draft.

Kostas, 20, averaged 5.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game in 15.1 minutes per game in his one season at Dayton, so he isn’t exactly the kind of prospect that scouts are salivating over.

At 6’10”, 197 pounds, Kostas still has to develop a bit and add to his frame before he can even come close to being ready to compete on an NBA level, but with his size and genes some NBA teams may be willing to spend a 2nd round pick on him.

In what was a savvy decision for him, Kostas’s hasn’t hired an agent which means he can withdraw his name before June 11 if the feedback he gets from evaluators is that he is not ready to come out.

I think the most likely outcome is that he returns to Dayton in a more prominent role next season, but there is still a chance we have another Antetokounmpo in the NBA next season.

Giannis’s other brother Thanasis is currently a starter for the Philadelphia 76ers G-League affiliate.
