LeBron’s public plea for a better roster didn’t fall on deaf ears. Management was active and acquired Deron Williams and Andrew Bogut. Sure, these two guys are well past their respective primes, but they are still more than serviceable. Williams is the playmaker that LeBron coveted, and Bogut potentially brings the inside scoop from Golden State.
But unfortunately for Bogut and the Cavs, it didn’t last very long. About one minute into his Cavaliers debut Bogut suffered a fractured tibia and just like that, the experiment is over. Here’s the official statement from the Cavs not long after the injury.
Cavaliers Center Andrew Bogut experienced a left leg injury during the second quarter of Monday’s game in Cleveland vs. the Miami Heat. Initial x-rays and evaluation at The Q revealed a fractured left tibia. Bogut was taken to the Cleveland Clinic for further imaging and evaluation and additional updates will be made as they become available.
