Bradley Beal is injured again.
The Washington Wizards’ shooting guard left in the third quarter of the team’s blowout win over the shorthanded Boston Celtics on Wednesday night with a right hamstring injury. His legs almost did a full split while he had the ball in his hands, so upon first glance at the play, it looked pretty serious:

Beal is now expected to have an MRI on the injury, per The Washington Post‘s Candace Buckner:

Although most stop short of calling Beal injury-prone, there’s no denying he’s spent a lot of time on the shelf. He has missed at least 19 regular-season contests through each of the last two seasons, and his rookie year was marred by a 26-game absence. Last season, he appeared in a career-low 55 games.
All of which is cause for concern—especially given how much the Wizards paid Beal over the summer, and especially because they’re off to the second worst start in the Eastern Conference, at 2-4.
The good news, though, is that Beal, while no doctor, doesn’t believe his latest brush with fate is serious, per CSN Mid-Atlantic’s J. Michael:
Beal says hes ok. Right hamstring calmed down. Thinks he will play this weekend #WizCeltics #NBA

Washington, for its part, can only hope Beal is right.
