Stephen Jackson has been out of basketball for a few years, but has been making his rounds on ESPN. He’s interesting to listen to and probably has a strong TV career looking at him if it’s something he wants to pursue full-time. But maybe that’s not quite on his mind yet, as the 38 year old is attempting an NBA comeback.

Stephen Jackson says he's ready to play in the NBA again. @DaTrillStak5 https://t.co/hNma4HigVm— Rachel Nichols (@Rachel__Nichols) June 29, 2016
The chances of a team signing “Captain Jack” are very slim. The NBA doesn’t seem to really covet that grizzled old vet like they used to. Veteran leadership comes from 30-year-olds these days. I’m sure he still has some game left, but again, a team has to be interested.
If he has no takers on a continued playing career, he has interesting on the other side. One of his former teams, the Golden State Warriors, are interested in him as coach on Steve Kerr’s staff. Jackson is young enough to still connect with the players and respected enough to be a leader.
I'm told Golden State has shown interest in Stephen Jackson in a coaching role . But Jackson, 38, hopes to make a PLAYING return next season
