The Cavaliers appeared to be rejuvenated after the firing of David Blatt and are throwing all of their chips on the table before the trade deadline. This is like the realization that they need to make moves to be able to compete with the Golden State Warriors or San Antonio Spurs in a prospective finals match up.
They are in search of a savvy “3 and D” veteran to back up Iman Shumpert and it looks as though they may be honing in on Jared Dudley of the Washington Wizards.

According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Cavs are gauging interest around the league in their center Timofey Mozgov and could use their $10.5 million trade exception in a deal.
Dudley is shooting a career best 45.9% from three this season and is ranked 19th among small forwards in defensive plus/minus.
