This week while discussing his son Shareef’s O’Neal’s impending recruitment with Los Angeles Times writer Mike Bresnahan, Shaquille O’Neal admitted openly that he was paid very handsomely to take his talents to Death Valley out of high school.
“Yes they paid very well,” Shaq said. “Hey the statue of limitations is up.”
Dawg Sports had a humorous tweet on the matter.
Of course Shaq was paid at LSU. They made that documentary about it where Nick Nolte plays Dale Brown. pic.twitter.com/XBF57Y3GTL

The Big Aristotle (or the big mouth rather) went as far as to say that he wishes for his 16-year-old son Shareef, currently a four-star prospect in the class of 2018, to attend Louisiana State University. He would like him to play college basketball and receive the same sort of benefits Shaq did in 1989.
“You can probably get a house,” Shaq said. “You can get two cars.”
We all know the Shaq-tus has never been shy in front of a camera or microphone, and although he may be kidding, you can never really tell with Shaq. These comments may get him and his alma mater in some hot water.
