The Boogie Train Keeps Rolling in Sac-Town

Cousins 2

One game after setting a new career-high with 48 points in a 108-97 win over the Pacers on Saturday, Cousins followed up his record performance with an even better performance Monday night against the Charlotte Hornets.

He scored 56 points to go along with 12 rebounds and four assists on 70 percent shooting in a 129-128 double overtime loss to the Hornets.

Cousins’ 104 points in the last two games is pretty incredible and if he would have been able to score one more bucket on Saturday night he would have become the fifth player since the 1970s to score 50 points in back to back games.

Here are the other four:

Michael Jordan, 1987 (3 games)
Bernard King, 1984 (2 games)
Antwan Jamison, 2000 (2 games)
Allen Iverson, 2004 (2 games)

If Cousins can get the Kings over .500 in the postseason for the first time in 10 years he may earn his first 1st All-NBA team appearance.
