A new KD8 colorway is about to release that is inspired by two of Kevin Durant’s biggest basketball inspirations.
For the ‘Vinary’ Nike KD8, the team colors from previous NBA All-Stars Vince Carter and Larry Bird were used to color-block the latest colorway of Kevin Durant’s current signature shoe. While the top half of the upper plays to the Boston Celtics motif, the midsole and full-length Zoom Air unit references Vince Carter’s time as a member of the Toronto Raptors.
This makes another KD8 colorway that seems like Nike had to stretch the truth to create a sneaker backstory. I miss the days when sneakers could just release in colors for no reason other than having that specific shoe look a specific way.
The ‘Vinary’ Nike KD8 releases on Thursday, October 1st for $180.
