Kobe Bryant is known to not mix words on the basketball court. Speaking sharply to his teammates is his way of motivation, and that was a habit established very early in his career. This new lowtop Kobe X Elite gets its nickname inspiration from a real nickname Bryant picked up around the league.
Called the ‘Drill Sergeant’ Nike Kobe X Elite Low, this is one of the handful of lowtop version of Kobe Bryant’s most recent hightop signature sneaker sold.
Constructed from the sewn Flyknit material and heavily backed with glue and other light synthetics, this sneaker also features a Nike Free sole, Lunarlon foam cushioning, & a big Zoom Air unit in the heel. There is also about 100 little nodes on the bottom of the outsole designed to work like threads on racecar tires.
SneakerNews was the first big outlet to say these would release on Wednesday, August 12th for $200; but since these are the official pictures from Nike the ‘Drill Sergeant’ Nike Kobe X Elite Low is likely to be available in physical stores that day with a quiet Nike webstore release to come at a later date.
