Despite being over a year late, Nike is releasing a new KD8 colorway inspired by Kevin Durant’s attire while accepting the 2013-14 NBA MVP award.
With a color-blocking similar to Kevin Durant’s MVP attire from last season, the ‘Suit’ Nike KD8 is constructed with a textile Flyweave upper and articulated outsole under a full-length Zoom Air cushioning unit. This colorway is very reminiscent to the ‘Nerf’ KD4 to the point I believe that to be the real direction.
I am lacking an understanding why this colorway is only coming out now during Stephen Curry’s MVP reign, but if I had to guess, this is Nike getting the most out of the major investment they made in Kevin Durant as he re-upped his Nike deal last off-season.
The ‘Suit’ Nike KD8 releases on Friday, August 14th for $180.
