Lakers’ Julius Randle Has Fully Recovered

randlerecoveryAfter enduring two-straight grueling seasons, the Los Angeles Lakers and their fans have a lot of reasons to look forward to next season.

Other than winning the No. 2 overall selection for this year’s NBA Draft, more good news recently was received by the Lakers, as one of their promising rookies Julius Randle, who suffered a season-ending leg injury in their season-opener, has made a full recovery according to their general manager Mitch Kupchak.

Via Ethan J. Skolnick of Bleacher Report:

Randle, 20, was the seventh overall pick by the Lakers in last years’ draft and is widely thought of as a promising young talent with all-star potential. Many were shocked that Randle slipped as deep as 7th in the draft with many predicting he would go in the top 5. Given Kupchak’s comments about Kobe Bryant’s impending retirement plans last week, Lakers Nation will need to start believing in their rebuilding and youth movement.

Despite sitting out the entire season, the former Wildcat will look to finally start making his mark in the league in summer league play.

In six preseason games, Randle averaged 6.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in 18.9 minutes of play.
