The more popular Air Jordan sneakers get, the bigger the counterfeit industry is. If the available product quantity is lower than desire, that creates a market. That is simple supply-and-demand. To fill the demand, factories have taken to (and almost perfected) recreating popular sneakers despite not being authorized by the copyright holders.
One Instagram user recorded several videos showing the inner-workings of a factory replicating popular Air Jordan Retros like the ‘Carmine’ Jordan 6, ‘Bourdeoux’ Jordan 7, and the ‘Oreo’ Jordan 4 (which was apart of the new Jordan Brand Remastered collection).
This black market industry of fake sneakers is at an all-time high. With the most people checking for Jordans ever combined with the a steadily climbing price, it is seemingly impossible for this to stop. These videos helps put this whole thing in perspective when you think this is just part of a single factory.
