After the first two games of the Finals, most were wondering where Kawhi Leonard was. He had 9 points in each of the first two games and wasn’t much of a factor. But then, he stepped it up in a big way in game 3 with 29 points and never looked back. He played very well the final 3 games of the series, and as a reward, the 22 year old was named Finals MVP. The youngest to win this award since Magic Johnson.
Kawhi Leonard won the NBA Finals MVP this evening at the tender age of 22 when the Spurs routed the Heat to take home the 2014 title. He is the third youngest player to ever receive the award. Magic Johnson won a Finals MVP at age 20 and 22.
