Last year when Jordan Brand introduced the long-winded Air Jordan 1 High Retro OG you might have left out a word or three when referencing any of the pairs, but this new mold of the original Jordan sneaker from 1985 have made for all the greatest Jordan I releases ever.
The latest iteration is this denim-covered ‘Family First’ Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. Said to be designed by three of his children, the Jordan 1 ‘Family First’ features a navy upper with many denim panels complimented by a white midsole, University Blue outsole, and navy, wax laces.
There are cool, personal detailing throughout this shoe like the exact image of the gate outside of the Michael Jordan’s compound being on the insoles and the top three eyelets being a different color to represent Jeffrey, Marcus, and Jasmine Jordan; his children.
I like to think of these as a tribute to Michael Jordan’s…ahh…interesting choice of jeans throughout the years. Timing of this release couldn’t be any better as it falls on Father’s Day weekend.
On Saturday, June 14th the ‘Family Forever’ colorway of the Air Jordan 1 High OG releases in both Mens & Youth (Y) sizes for $120 and $95 respectively.
