With their growing pains clearly behind them, Under Armour continues to make great basketball sneakers but haven’t been getting the attention their products deserve. In 2013 the Anatomix Spawn basketball sneaker officially debuted and is one of the three best basketball sneakers they ever made as well as one of the best basketball sneakers on the market today.
Except for the Charge Volt (which released both shoe heights at the same time), lowtop versions of their basketball kicks have always released towards the second half of the season and the Under Armour Anatomix Spawn Low is no exception to this rule; three colorways are available right now on their webstore.
In collaboration with EA Sports, this special colorway of the Under Armour Anatomix Spawn Low gives a nod to the latest version of the recently re-launced NBA Live video game series. Featuring a navy-to-teal gradient fadehas the EA Sports logo on the tongue and insoles that read “nothing but next” and “nba live 2014”.
This colorway was first seen on the feet of Stephen Curry during a Warriors TV video of Curry practicing for the 2014 NBA 3-Point Contest during All-Star Weekend in New Orleans and most recently on the feet of Corey Brewer during the Timberwolves/Nets game on March 31st.
Performance features of the Anatomix Spawn include a lightweight three-layer upper construction with infused mech for improved airflow, but my favorite is the herringbone traction pattern that extended up from the bottom of the shoe to the heel and toe areas. Great for having a quick, controlled first step as well as multi-directional movement stability.
No official word on if these will be available to for sale or not to the public so enjoy this exclusive, detailed look at the EA Sports x Under Armour Anatomix Spawn Low – ‘NBA Live 2014’ and keep it locked to our KICKS section for more of that good good.
