Much was made of the Clippers’ acquisition of Stephen Jackson several weeks ago. He’s a crafty veteran with championship pedigree on a team that sorely lacks it.
That may all be true, but it apparently didn’t work out for Jackson and the Clipps as he was waived on Tuesday.
Andrew Bynum was also waived today by the Bulls, but that should come as a surprise to nobody.
The Clippers waived forward Stephen Jackson on Tuesday, the team announced.
That opens the door for the team to sign another player, because they have a 14-man roster.
Also, the Clippers are leaning away from trying to sign center Andrew Bynum if he is waived by the Chicago Bulls, the executives said.
The Clippers reportedly feel that Bynum has too much baggage and too many issues from his days with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team that traded him to Chicago. Cleveland had told Bynum to stay away from the team until he was traded
