Pelicans Ryan Anderson Out Indefinitely With Herniated Disc

A few games ago, Ryan Anderson of the Pelicans was involved in a collision with Gerald Wallace of the Celtics and had to leave the game on a stretcher for precautionary reasons. You always hate to see that.

Today, we learned his fate which is that he’s out indefinitely with a herniated disc.

Tough blow for New Orleans, as Anderson was the team’s leading scorer at 19.8 PPG.

The New Orleans Pelicansannounced on Tuesday morning that power forward Ryan Anderson is sidelined indefinitely with a herniated disc.

Anderson’s injury occurred after a collision with Celtics forward Gerald Wallace during the fourth quarter in this past Friday’s game against the Boston Celtics. Anderson has been in a hospital in Boston undergoing tests since the injury. It’s not known yet if Anderson has been released from the hospital. Anderson tweeted on Monday that it was hopefully his last day at the hospital
