Kyrie Irving, Face Of New Nike HyperRev In 2014

Kyrie Irving has improved his level of play every year he has been in the NBA, and entering his third season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he has enjoyed a success players with double or triple his professional career length have not. One benefit that is granted to elite basketball players is being the face of a basketball sneaker, and being a Nike endorsee makes it that much bigger.

Introducing the new Nike HyperRev.

Drawing an instant comparison to the growingly popular Nike Roshe Run, the Nike HyperRev goes with a “less is more” theme. Designed to mimick the natural movement of a foot, the Hyperrev features a mesh upper, Phylite midsole compound for flexibility, and Flywire cables with ankle strap for adjustable fit all ontop of a full-length Zoom Air cushioning system.

Even though Kyrie Irving was announced to spearhead the HyperRev campaign on-court in the NBA, he won’t be the first player in the league to wear the minimalist basketball sneaker. That honor goes to OJ Mayo who has already worn the same colorway a handful of times with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Images of this sneaker have been around the internet for over a year now in various qualities and colorways and it was back in June when we first featured the Nike HyperRev.

No official word on price, but this colorway will be apart of the initial Nike HyperRev release on January 1st of 2014.
