Rajon Rondo hasn’t played a game for the Celtics in what seems like forever. In fact, with the departure of all of the key components from Boston, we’ve almost forgotten about him. But when he returns from his ACL tear, he will once again be one of the top PGs.
And his injury hasn’t stopped team from inquiring about his services, according to rumors. Over the past few days, we’ve heard Rondo’s name rumored in a bunch of trades and Danny Ainge decided to shoot all of that down (Assuming Ainge is telling the truth, of course).
Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said Monday that he has not received any inquiries from other teams interested in acquiring Rajon Rondo….
“Rondo is coming off an injury and I think people know how much we love Rondo, so I don’t expect anybody to inquire, quite honestly,” Ainge said. “People know that Rondo is a big part of our future and that we’re not going to trade him…
“What’s real is, he’s going nowhere,” Ainge said. “That’s what’s real.”
