Retro kicks from the 1980s and 1990s are more popular than ever making it the perfect time for older basketball sneaker brands to reclaim their position in the sneaker realm. FILA has been making good use of the current environment
According to the line drawings from the upcoming Spring 2014 catalog, we see a new colorway of the FILA ’95 is coming out at the beginning of next year. Released in 1996 and formally known as the Grant Hill 2, sneakerheads love this sneaker and will gravitate to this mostly red iteration.
Not online is FILA scheduled to release new colorways of some of their most popular basketball sneakers like the FILA ’96, the KJ7 worn by Kevin Johnson. The Stack 2, second signature sneaker for Jerry Stackhouse, is also making a surprise return to the current FILA basketball silhouette roster.
FILA will really be riding out their classic aesthetics as seen by the apparel releasing alongside the sneakers releasing early 2014.
