The New Orleans Pelicans’ (yes, that’s what they are called now that the season has ended) guard Eric Gordon has had a rough go ever since being traded for Chris Paul. He hasn’t been healthy enough for long enough to truly make an impact. But if he is ever able to stay healthy, New Orleans has a nice young core to build around.
Gordon just underwent ankle surgery which will have him sidelined for a few months. The good news, of course is that he’ll be ready to go long before next season begins.
The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that guard Eric Gordon underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure yesterday in his left ankle to alleviate pain caused by particles of scar tissue. The procedure was performed by Dr. Richard Ferkel of the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles, CA.
Gordon is currently recovering from the procedure and will begin rehabilitation immediately while returning to basketball activities later in the summer.
