It’s an understatement to call legendary Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim a grumpy old man, especially when it comes to press conferences.
He once refused to answer questions from famed ESPN reporter Andy Katz, humorously calling Andy an idiot. He has also given some funny retort on gun control, made it a point to rip NBA Hall of Famer Reggie Miller concerning the 2-3 Zone, and has even done some comic relief rather than talk basketball on the podium.
Even after his historic 900th win, Jim didn’t seem all that thrilled by having to do an interview and instead chose to praise his players and the program.
So, obviously following a rough loss to Michigan in the Final Four, would be the best time to ask the salty ballcoach about potential rumors that he would be stepping down prior to next season? CBS reporter Greg Doyal now knows better…
