Legendary Trainer Tim Grover Explains to THD Why LeBron Isn’t on Jordan and Kobe’s Level

Often times, greatness needs help. It’s the preparation that most don’t get to see that truly helps those reach their maximum potential. The NBA is no different.

A handful of all-time great NBA players, such as Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Hakeem Olajuwon, Dwyane Wade and Charles Barkley (to name a few) all have one thing in common: they had the privilege of working with legendary trainer Tim Grover, who pushed them to greatness.

From being there around the time of Jordan’s historic flu game, to having Dwyane Wade give him a call during the 2012 Finals, Grover has witnessed it all.

Tim has finally decided to corral his years of experience into one book: “Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable“, which became available April 16. If you’re looking for someone to give you the skinny on the behind-the-scenes of the NBA player, Grover is the guy.

Grover’s work and experience doesn’t only apply to athletics. In his book, you will see how the characteristics for greatness permeates far beyond sports, as he explains why it applies to all walks of life.

A few days before Tim’s book became available, I had the chance to represent The Hoop Doctors and chat with him for a few minutes from everything to what made Jordan great, to why he doesn’t think LeBron is on the level of Kobe and Michael. His answer and insight are both invaluable.
