LeBron James is playing incredible basketball, and so are the rest of his teammates. The Miami Heat are on a role and appear to be the best team in the NBA.
The Heat were in New York yesterday afternoon to take on the Knicks. Prior to this game the Knicks were 2-0 vs. the Heat this year and both wins were comfortably, by double-digits.
The Knicks were up by 15 at halftime, but the Heat took over in the second half and won by six, 99-93. They have now won a franchise record 14 in a row.
James scored 19 points in the second half, including 12 in the fourth quarter as the Heat overcame a 59-44 halftime deficit and clobbered the Knicks 54-34 in the second half.
James played all 24 minutes after halftime.
“I don’t want to just assume that he can play 40-plus minutes, but he had to do it on both ends,” Spoelstra said. “Couldn’t get him out in the fourth quarter. If I would have tried, he probably would have strangled me. …
“Either scoring or facilitating for us, he was strong and was the strongest after 40 minutes of basketball.”
