Chicago has been publicly grieving the death of 6-month old Jonylah Watkins, who was shot five times in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night. Authorities believe her father was the target of the drive-by. He was changing the infant in the front seat of his car when the incident occured.

Meanwhile, Jonylah’s death has struck a chord citywide. It inspired a surge of submissions to the anti-violence “500 Project” social media campaign and prompted Bulls star Derrick Rose to offer to help pay for the baby’s funeral, according to ABC. (via)
