The Milwauke Bucks were rumored to be the most likely landing spot for Josh Smith, if Atlanta moved him. Well, Atlanta didn’t move him. But Milwaukee did bolster their roster by adding sharpshooting J.J. Redick to spread the floor for Jennings and Ellis.
The Orlando Magic were in the process of finalizing two separate trades Thursday just before the NBA trade deadline expired at 3 p.m.
The first deal will send shooting guard J.J. Redick, point guard Ish Smith and power forward/center Gustavo Ayón to the Milwaukee Bucks for wing Tobias Harris, guard Doron Lamb and point guard Beno Udrih.
The second deal will send power forward Josh McRoberts to the Charlotte Bobcats for power forward Hakim Warrick.
