With the NBA All-Star Weekend just next weekend, Jordan Brand officially announces the sneakers they are releasing to celebrate the biggest basketball weekend.
Inspired by all things stealth, the design seen on the Air Jordan XX8 shroud is a direct inspiration from the waves seen while wearing night-vision goggles. That is very important to remember because the colorways for every other sneaker like the CP3.VI & Jordan III is said to come from the Jordan XX8.
Ever since the unveiling of the Air Jordan XX8, we knew that All-Star Weekend would be the official release date for the sneaker, so it was clear from the beginning that shoe would be get a big push and rightfully so; it totes a $250 price tag. There will be two different pairs of the 28th sneaker in the Air Jordan signature series that release next weekend but right now, there are only official pictures of one seen above. The entire All-Star Weekend pack from Jordan Brand will release throughout two separate days. The first set of sneakers coming out are the Jordan Melo M9 and Jordan CP3.VI at the very start of the NBA all-star break on February 14th. February 16th will serve as the release date for the sneakers part of the Air Jordan series in the form of the Air Jordan I and Air Jordan III.
Now to the pictures. Below, are the official detailed shots of the sneakers straight from Jordan Brand. There are shots of each sneaker: one in regular lighting and one for what the kicks look like under a ultraviolet black light. For the Air Jordan XX8 however one wasn’t included but I can only imagine what could possibly be written throughout the shroud.
Air Jordan XX8 – ‘2013 All-Star’
Jordan CP3.VI – ‘2013 All-Star’
Jordan Melo M9 – ‘2013 All-Star’
Air Jordan I – ‘2013 All-Star’
Air Jordan III – ‘2013 All-Star’
