Dwyane Wade said it best in the post-game presser: “it was just our time, their time will come”.
Immediately following the final buzzer, Kevin Durant walked off towards the locker room to meet his parents for a supportive embrace. Almost immediately upon seeing his parents he broke down and cried, visibly shaken from the championship opportunity lost.
Later in the post-game press conference Durant told reporters his parents have ‘been there from the beginning’ and ‘always support him win or lose’, so he really wanted to win it for them. Here is an image from the heart wrenching moment with his parents following the Thunder loss…
