Kevin Garnett is a veteran. He’s also not one to mince words. When you combine those two attributes it makes for some pretty testy interviews when a reporters asks questions that annoy him. In this particular case after the Celtics beat the Magic, Garnett was speaking to the media about the Celtics turnaround in the second half of the season. Garnett seemed to be annoyed that people expected the Celtics to fail, especially with Rondo and Ray Allen dealing with injuries.
“You called us ‘old, ‘over’…I read some of your pathetic articles and some of your lousy analysis, it’s opinion. I mean, obviously, you don’t know what drives us. We thank y’all for those articles. ‘preciate it. Because it lit a fire under us.”
