The Heat have lost back-to-back game by double digits for the first time in the “Big 3” era. Sprinkle in the fact that LeBron now has a dislocated ring finger on his non-shooting hand and it may give Heat fans pause. However, he is not expected to miss any time:
The Heat pulled out the pads for Wednesday’s practice, one hard enough that coach Erik Spolestra and LeBron James each said he felt good about James’ left ring finger making it through without further injury.
That’s the finger James admitted Wednesday to dislocating during the Heat’s Monday loss at Indiana. James said X-rays revealed no break, and he will be ready for Thursday’s game against Dallas, the Mavericks first appearance in AmericanAirlines Arena since the denouement of last year’s NBA Finals.
While James shoots right-handed, he said the injury, “impacts dribbling and rebounding, where you’ve got to squeeze the ball. I hate using injuries as an excuse for anything. I’m in uniform, then I should be good.”
