The Knicks are already without Amar’e Stoudemire who is taking a leave of absence to be with his family following the unfortunate death of his brother. In the first game with out Stoudemire, ‘Melo came up lame with a bad groin. But at least Knicks fans can be happy about the emergence of Jeremy Lin. Right?
The Knicks got some bad news on Carmelo Anthony on Tuesday, announcing that their All-Star forward will be out approximately 1-2 weeks with a strained right groin. That means that Anthony, the team’s top scorer, could miss up to eight games if he has to sit out through the Knicks’ game Feb. 20 against the Nets. The team updated Anthony’s status as it started practice. He was injured Monday night in the Knicks’ win over Utah.
