MSG’s NY Knicks “Big 3” Promo Video

December 15, 2011 – Kevin Burke

For the majority of this century, Knicks fans haven’t had much to cheer about. They went countless years in a row finishing below .500 and missing the playoffs. But when they were able to sign Amar’e Stoudemire last summer, then acquire Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups at the trade deadline in February, there was now reason to celebrate. Last season, the Knicks finished above .500 and made the playoffs where they were swept by the Boston Celtics. However, they were largely without Stoudemire and Billups who both suffered very untimely injuries early in the series. Had it not been for those, who knows what would’ve happened.

But it’s a new year. Gone is Chauncey Billups and in is Tyson Chandler. The biggest Achilles heal for the Knicks last season was defense, particularly around the basket. Tyson Chandler is that answer. But all of a sudden, the Knicks have a very nice core now. If you want to call them a “Big 3”, then fine. Either way, the Garden will be jumping this year and expectations are through the roof. Here’s an MSG Network promo video of the Knicks “Big 3”, looking forward to the season.
