On Saturday October 8th, the FUI arena in Miami played host to the South Florida All-Star Classic. Both teams were led by Miami Heat stars with Team Wade in white at one side and Team James at the other end in black in what was probably the most hyped non-NBA game since talks of a lockout started. The players weren’t the only stars in the building as this event attracted celebs like comedian Kevin Hart and professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. Sneakerheads definitely paid attention to this game as for many this was the first time seeing the soon-to-be-released LeBron 9 in action, especially in its Cannon colorway. Also on hand to debut a new sneaker was Chris Paul in the CP3.V. Russell Westbrook chose to rep his Thunder colors with a pair of Hyperfuse 2011s and Mario Chalmers in something fresh from adidas that even has me stumped on the silhouette due to the lack of available photographs from that night.
