Jason Terry Disses Lebron in Rap Video

August 16, 2011 – Allen Moll

Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Jason Terry is undoubtedly the most outspoken member of the World Champion Dallas Mavericks. Even while playing alongside future NBA players Mike Bibby and Michael Dickerson on the 1997 National Champion Arizona Wildcats, Terry always spoke his mind.

After earning consensus NCAA All American 1st Team honors in ‘99, Terry starred in obscurity in the early stages of his NBA career, playing his first 5 seasons in Atlanta. But it wasn’t until he was traded to Dallas prior to the ’04-’05 campaign that “Jet” began to gain some much warranted national attention as one of the game’s best 3 point shooters and very best 6th men.

Fast forward to the upcoming 2011-2012 season and Terry has made more than 1,500 career treys to now be included in the discussion of who is the best 3 point shooter of all-time, in addition to winning the 2010 NBA 6th Man of the Year and becoming a World Champion. In 2011, he even tied an NBA Playoffs record for nailing nine 3 pointers in a game, joining Rex Chapman, Vince Carter, and Ray Allen.

But Terry’s career hasn’t been without controversy as the one time PAC-10 POY was once caught on camera punching former teammate Michael Finley of the Spurs during Game 5 of the ’06 Playoffs, and as a result was suspended for Game 6.

Just prior to this past season, Jason got some national attention for getting a tattoo of the Larry O’Brien trophy. Many deemed the ink as arrogant, but Terry got the last laugh by getting to hoist the O’Brien trophy by winning a title.

This Summer, Terry is again making news for all the wrong reasons. Recently, he was a special invited guest backstage at the filming of rapper Young Jeezy’s new video “Win.”

After a few cocktails, Terry apparently decided to join in on all of the recent Lebron hate by inserting the words “Lose, Lose, Lose…I Feel Like Lebron and Them Now” instead of the chorus, obviously referring to James and the NBA runner up Miami Heat.
