It has been rumored for quite some time now that ESPN analyst and former NBAer, Mark Jackson has been interested in coaching. It looks like he may have taken a step closer to that as he reportedly has met with Golden State about their coaching vacancy.
Mark Jackson has met with Golden State Warriors officials to discuss the franchise’s coaching job, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The meeting occurred in Los Angeles nearly two weeks ago when Golden State executives first embarked on the replacement for Keith Smart, sources say. Jackson could be brought back for a second interview, but former Cleveland Cavaliers coach Mike Brown remains the leading candidate for the opening.
Boston Celtics assistant coach Lawrence Frank is scheduled to meet with Golden State officials this weekend.
