May 13, 2011 – The Hoop Doctors
Every year in the post-season there is a player that you may think is fairly pedestrian, or a ‘role’ player, that has a performance game after game that tells the world, “I’ve Arrived”. That player for me this post-season has been Serge Ibaka of the Oklahoma City Thunder. His defense is as lock down as they come, and he has surprised with his offensive proficiency.
I was reading a great NBA and International Basketball site today called Interbasket.net and saw this amazing action shot of Ibaka blocking Mike Conley Jr. in Game 3 of the OKC – Memphis series. If you ask for a prediction for tonight’s game, i’m figuring this picture may be a bit of a preview. The Thunder are going to close this one down…
