Carmelo Anthony will debut an orange colorway of the MELO M7 FUTURE SOLE edition this Friday when the Knicks face the Detroit Pistons. In addition, in paying tribute to the team’s 2003 national championship team, the MELO M7 Future sole will be available for the Syracuse University men’s basketball to wear when they open tournament competition against Indiana State. Melo will also wear a commemorative green colorway to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow against the Grizzlies. (Photos after the jump).

The Future Sole program is dedicated to giving High School and College students the chance to have their work seen by some of the industry’s biggest designers. The 2010 competition kicked off in April and after 890,000 hits, 11,400 registered users, and 22,000 consumer participants, the competition was narrowed down to just 10. All 10 finalists were flown to Nike World Headquarters to show off their designs. After presenting his MELO M7 shoe design to a room full of Nike designers and executives, 16 year old Michigan native Allen Largin was crowned the Jordan Brand winner. Now Allen will finally be able to see his designs come to life when Melo dons his version of the MELO M7’s against his hometown Pistons.

As the winner of Future Sole, Allen Largin will receive $5,000 in computer equipment, a platinum certificate of $,5,000 and a $5,000 donation to his high school.

The JORDAN MELO M7 Future Sole will launch on July 1st for suggested retail price of $130.
