With everyone probably up to their eyeballs in Lebron James defecting to the Miami Heat news, I thought we would lighten things up a bit with Summertime’s favorite basketball related activity: Pooldunking. You know, everyone enjoys watching some pretty uncoordinated white guys trying to emulate some of the NBA’s best dunkers by jamming off of a trampoline into their buddy’s backyard swimming pool.
The video is appropriately titled, “Creative Pool Dunking” for good reason since these guys obviously put some thought, combined with a bit of contrived choreography into their entertaining Summer showcase. While the video features the usual 360‘s and one-handed jams we’ve grown accustomed to in the standard pooldunking videos, this one is arguably the best one that I’ve seen since they include some nifty 3 man dunks and some sweet trick-shot artistry of the gang throwing passes to themselves off of a nearby rooftop. And, oh by the way, it’s worth it if you can hang around until the end of the video, since you’ll get to see the crew’s hilarious epic fail at a grand finale pool dunk attempt.
Surely this won’t measure up to the snowboarding dunk contest video that made it onto ESPN Sportsnation, we showcased for you last Winter, but if you like entertaining pool dunkers, featuring white guys trying to dunk, set to a backdrop of Dr Dre beats, check out the video……….
