Not to be Outdone, Lebron Turns in a ‘Complete’ Game

Lebron James

February 4, 2009 – Dr. Dime

New York Knicks fans are salivating. They are imagining Free Agency 2010 and the possibility of landing the best player in basketball. And not just the best scorer, but the best in almost any category. The guy is flat out unconscious every time he steps on the floor this season. He was amazing when he came into the league, and he just keeps getting better, year by year. Lebron James, The King.

In the meantime the Knicks fans have been taking their drubbings lately. Kobe came into the garden and dropped a record 61 points the other night. And now tonight they have to host Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was a close game but the Cavaliers ultimately won 107-102. Lebron didn’t take it easy on them though. He had one of the biggest most complete games i’ve seen in quite some time. It was huge. It was a triple double. A big one, a very very big one.

How big? Oh…only 52 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots. That’s all.

My boy, Dr. Browntorious, took some heat from Lakers fans by email on his “post-Kobe 61” article he wrote saying he thought it was a great shooting performance, but far from a great performance given the 0 rebounds, steals, and blocks. Well tonight, Lebron James showed us what it means to have an all-around, across the board, stat stuffer of a game. This guy is the MVP of 2009, let’s not even front. It’s not even a contest right now. He’s off the charts. My mind is exploding as I write this.

LBJ, I’m a witness!
