Amare Stoudemire is taking a page out of the Chris Bosh playbook from last year around this time, and has made a “Vote Amare” YouTube video to promote his candidacy for the all-star game. I know a lot of people I have talked to don’t like the concept of players trying to in essence “bid” for their inclusion in the all-star game. The same naysayers think that a player should let his on-court game speak for itself.
Personally I think it’s great! It shows a more down to earth, and fun side to the players that we don’t normally get to see away from the court. Amare is still super young at only 26 years old and he should be able to act the fool from time to time. And hey, the all-star game is in Pheonix this year after all, no wonder Amare wants in!
