Former NBA Champion and 4 time All Star, known as one of the league’s most feistiest players during his playing days, Rasheed Wallace is apparently getting the itch to play the game he loves once again as he has popped up playing in the Greater NC Pro-Am, alongside former and current NBA and NCAA greats like John Wall, Jerry Stackhouse, and Travis Leslie(NC State).
Last year around this time, Wallace also participated in the NC Pro-Am, after being retired from the game since the conclusion of the 2010 season, and was greeted by a rude awakening by then Duke recruit Austin Rivers who promptly dunked on the old timer.
There have been several rumors of a Sheed comeback with the Celtics and even his hometown 76ers over the past 2 seasons but Rasheed has always resisted the urge to lace them up one more time. Maybe after the now 37 year old Wallace is seeing elder statesmen like Grant Hill, Steve Nash, and even the returning Brandon Roy continue to play well and hit the comeback trail recently, Wallace will give it the old college try once again?
In the video, Wallace doesn’t just play, but rather repeatedly collects and puts back offensive rebounds and shows off his slightly diminished vertical by finishing off an impressive 360 windmill and reverse double pump jam in warm-ups.
What do you think? Should Rasheed attempt a comeback……?
