Kyle Korver, J.R. Smith on Trade Block

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in a transition period after losing the best player in the NBA for the 2nd time in the past 8 years.

They have decided not to completely blow it up, a decision made clear when they decided to sign their only all-star caliber player left, Kevin Love, to an extension.

With that being said though, they are still trying to move some veterans on pricey contracts and the two players reportedly on the block are J.R. Smith and Kyle Korver, at least according to Joe Vardon of the Wine and Gold Talk Podcast.

The Cavs now have a logjam on the wing after signing David Nwaba (a savvy move, Chicago should have kept him) and likely bringing back Rodney Hood.

As for Korver and Smith, they both have two years left on their deal and are unlikely to be able to be moved especially with Korver having $15 million left and Smith having $30 million left.

After extending Love, the Cavaliers best bet seems to be ride it out and use their veterans experience to be in the playoff picture for the next few seasons.
