2017 has been very good to the Washington Wizards. The Wiz have been 30-12 since the new year began, and have undergone a complete transformation from being a huge disappointment rife with chemistry issues that started 2-8, to a 46-28 division-winner and possible No. 1 seed in the eastern conference.

Pretty incredible this is their first division title in 38 years, for a frame of reference the last time the Wizards (formerly the Bullets) were division champs Michael Jackson had yet to release his first solo album and ESPN didn’t exist.
According to CBSSports.com, this ended the longest division title drought in the NBA, NHL or NFL.
At this point it looks as though they are set up for a first round match-up with the Milwaukee Bucks who are the No. 6 seed, but could still find themselves at the top of the conference when the postseason begins which is pretty insane.
With Wall and Beal playing the best basketball of their career and a newly rejuvenated bench, the Wizards may be about as dangerous as anybody in the eastern conference and could be the stiffest competitor for LeBron’s eastern conference supremacy this season.
