Focused on the idea that when put in the position to excel and given the right amount of motivation, that paves the way for astounding feats. That is the idea that Nike is going for with their new ‘Give Me The Ball’ campaign.
Featuring the song ‘NAME’ by Kendrick Lamar, the first commercial from the ‘Give Me The Ball’ campaign is narrated by a boy who goes thru how bad he wants not only the basketball in the game, but the challenges & rewards that come with being at the top of the game.
The entire ‘Give Me The Ball’ campaign will be headlined by a movie called ‘Wish List’ scheduled to air in March on the mainland of China as well as Taiwan & Hong Kong. Making features in the Wish List are current NBA All-Stars Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant as well as Yi Jianlian who is the current CBA league & All-Star Game MVP.
This campaign touches on the idea that pressure is a good thing, something that you do not see very often. A welcome change in my opinion.
