Jason Terry’s New Tattoo Guarantees Celtics Championship [PIC]

August 22, 2012 – Allen Moll

It’s far from new for Boston Celtics guard Jason Terry to be brash, bold, and outspoken in his 13 years in the Association.  I’m kidding.  In addition to ranking as one of the Top 5 3 point shooters in league history, Terry has been known for his trash talking, trademark “Jet” themed celebrations, and making bold predictions when it comes to his squad.

Remember, this is the guy that once dissed Lebron in a rap song and also got a tattoo of the Larry O’Brien Trophy on his bicep during the ’10-’11 season just prior to the Mavericks winning the 2011 NBA Title.

Although fans in Boston will surely miss the 3 point performances of future Hall of Famer Ray Allen, now off playing in Miami, the 34 year old Terry will fill in nicely in his place, even giving coach Rivers an option as a back-up point guard, a position that Terry began his pro career as with the Atlanta Hawks.

Now that Terry, a 16 ppg career scorer, is in the fold for another 3 seasons at more than $15 million, the Celtics’ 6th Man position seems filled for the foresee-able future.  But along with that comes some bragadocious behavior, like most recently as Terry made some alterations to his now famous NBA trophy tattoo by adding in the leprechaun from his newest team as well as making another bold prediction.

“There’s the lucky leprechaun and he’s spinning the Larry O’Brien trophy, which we will win this year.”

Sounds like the Miami Heat, LA Lakers, and OKC Thunder now have some bulletin board material.
