The fact our countdown has reached the top five means two things. Our countdown is unfortunately almost over and the best dunks are still yet to come.
While some criticize this dunk, specifically for not thinking Starks truly dunked on Michael Jordan, it’s still a dunk worthy of being in the top five. For starters, Starks is a right handed player, but he throws down this tomahawk with his left hand. Also, it was in the middle of the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals, with Starks and the Knicks trying to upend the mighty Bulls. And as much as MJ fans try to deny it, he was absolutely part of the posterization, along with Horace Grant.
After receiving a helpful (maybe illegal?) pick from Patrick Ewing, Starks explodes to the baseline, before he throws down over Grant and MJ.
